Principal’s Desk

Dr. Jyoti Deshmukh

The VES College of Law has been established in the year 2009 and since then we are continuously striving for quality and innovation. This dedication to bring out the change is reflected in our growth.

I am proud to say that our students are performing very well not just in the academics but also in sports, cultural, curricular and extra-curricular activities conducted in the college and outside. In our college we are organizing inter-collegiate festivals, social outreach activities and other cultural programs which equip the students with confidence, ethical values and discipline, necessary to face the other world.
Programs like Prudentia, Lawions, Aarambh and other activities provides platform for the development of advocacy skills in the students. Our staff strives to develop our institute as a Centre of Academic Excellence in the field of Law.

Initially in the year 2009, the college started with the handful of students and now the institute is developing in a full-fledged Law institute. This growth has been possible with the dedicated and strenuous efforts of experienced trust members, faculties and administrative staff of the college. The president and the trustees are deeply interested in the promotion of the Legal Education. I am highly grateful to them. It is the endeavor of the society to offer good education in the field of Law to contribute towards creating a competent workforce with requisite professional skills as it is the need of an hour, due to the declining value system and backlog of pending judicial cases. As the Judiciary is the backbone of a strong democratic nation, it will be our institution mission to ensure the development of honest professionals with integrity, diligence and national spirit.

Besides practicing the Law as a profession, the knowledge of the Law as a subject is also required for administrative and corporate jobs.

There is a Legal Aid Center established by the College in collaboration with the Government of Maharashtra to render services to the needy and poor class of the Society. The College has full-time staff to guide the students.

I am proud of being the part of such a wonderful institution which is managed by Vivekanand Education Society, Chembur and dedicated to the causes of better India. I am sure that the day will come when our institute will be known for value based legal education through diligence, devotion and dedication.
