“Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Pharmacy secures First prize in the AICTE-CII Survey of Industry Linked Technical Institute 2018”
Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Pharmacy was awarded 1 st Prize of “Best Industry Linked Technical Institute” in the category of established pharmacy degree institutions through the survey by AICTE-CII of industry linked technical institutions. To promote industry academia collaborations and enhance private sector contribution towards excellence in education, AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) and CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) has been conducting survey of the technical institutions all over India since 2012. In the 7 th edition of the survey, total 10 awards were announced for the technical institutions all over India in various disciplines of Engineering, Management,
Polytechnic, Pharmacy and Architecture for the best industry linkages.
For conferring this award, various parameters considered are participation of industry in curriculum design, infrastructure development, training of students and faculty, internship and placement. It also considers services by institutions to the industry through contractual research projects, consultancy, Executive Development Programme (EDP) designed for industry, sharing of facilities and expertise from institutes.
The award ceremony was held in the education summit jointly organised by AICTE-CII on 4 th and 5 th October 2018 at AICTE headquarters, Delhi. The award was conferred by hands of Dr. Sahasrabudhe Chairman, AICTE, Dr. Pankaj Mittal, Additional secretary, UGC, Mr. Subramanyam, Secretary, Higher education, MHRD, Govt. of India, Mr. Sunil Munjal, Chairman, CII Education Council and the sponsor of award, Mr. Dev Ranjan Mukherjee, Head, corporate affairs, Cadila Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

We dedicate this success of institution in the short span of 11 years to the joint efforts of entire team of Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Pharmacy, mentoring by industry experts on various advisory boards and strong support by Vivekanand Education Society’s management.” The managing trustee of Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Pharmacy, Shri.
