Co-curricular Activities for the Academic Year 2015-2016 

June 2015: The academic year began with the on the spot essay writing competition in English, Hindi, Marathi, Sindhi and French for Std. 12 on 30th June 2015. More than 100 students participated.

July 2015 :

  1. Tilak Jayanti was celebrated on 23rd July 2015.
  2. Guru Purnima was celebrated on 31st July 2015.

August 2015 :

  1. On the spot essay writing competition in English, Hindi, Marathi, Sindhi and French for Std. 11 was held on 6th August 2015. More than 100 students participated.
  2. “Health Fair” – Food Fest. 2015 organized by K. J. Somaiya College on 8th August 2015.
    Tanisha Satpal and Anuja Malik of Std. XII D Commerce won third prize for Biopictionary.
    Ravi Bansal and Ishan Rajput of Std. XII D Commerce won second prize for Treasure Hunt.
  3. Vivekini Jagruti -2015 was organized by VES for 15th August 2015. Junior College Students won the first prize in the intercollegiate Hindi Patriotic Group song Competition.

September 2015 :

  1. In Arth Manthan – Economic festival conducted by Acharya College on 4th September 2015, Sushmita Nair of Std. XII C Commerce won first prize and Sara Sayed Asif of Std. XII D Commerce won second Prize.
  2. Sheetal Shetty of Std. XI D Science won first prize in Ward Level elocution competition conducted by Science elocution committee on 7th September 2015.
    1. Nazish Sayyed of Std. XI C Science won second prize for ward level mono acting competition held on 9th September 2015.
    2. In “Chem Talentia – 2015”- Festival of Chemistry organized by VES’s Degree College on 10th September 2015, Namrata Jagtap, Heeda Khan, Karishma Talreja, Hafsa Shaikh, Faizan Shaikh, Rushikesh Tandel, Mayur Khankal, Vinit Goregaonkar of Std. XI D Science won the second prize for skit competition and for poster making competition – Sushant Pawar and Sunny Ghag of Std. XI C Science won second prize.
    3. Mumbai Marathi Sahitya Sangh awarded participation certificate to Ankita Dhokle of Std. XI C Science for poetry writing. Her poem will be published in Mumbai Marathi Sahiyta Sangh Magazine. The event was held on 11th September 2015.
    4. Sanskruti Samrakshan Sanstha, Mumbai organized Kavya-Srujan Competition on 20th September 2015 Sheetal Shetty of Std. XI D Science won second prize.
    5. Gandhi Smarak Nidhi, Mumbai conducted an elocution competition on 23rd September 2015. Trupti Vinay Kamat and Vishakha N. Sawant won consolation prize in English elocution competition. For Hindi elocution competition. Keerti R. Singh won second prize and Beauty Kumari Anilkumar won third prize.
    6. Interclass quiz competition was conducted on 24th September 2015.

October 2015 :

  1. Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti was celebrated on 3rd Oct. 2015.
  2. Gandhi Smarak Nidhi had organized an intercollegiate essay writing competition 15th October 2015, Candice D’Mello of Std. XI C Science won third prize for English essay and Niharika Rai of Std. XI D Science won third prize for Hindi essay.

November 2015 : The College reopened after a short Diwali vacation and 26th November 2015 was celebrated as Constitution Day.

December 2015 :

  1. Ritesh Chavan of Std. XI C Commerce won first prize in Ward Level Science Essay Writing Competition in Marathi on 1st December 2015.
  2. Annual Sports Day was held on 7th and 8th December 2015. Many track and field events were conducted.
  3. College arranged a picnic to Imagica on 20th December 2015. More than 500 students had attended.
  4. Much awaited college Annual Festival – Vivekanjali was celebrated with great enthusiasm Fine Arts was held on 21st December 2015. Number of competitions like Charcol Painting, Collage, Quelling,  Mehendi, Best out of waste, Greeting Card, Tile Painting, Rangoli etc. were held. It was also celebrated as Traditional Day.
    22nd December 2015 was performing Arts Day with Music Competitions and ADMAD shows and variety entertainment programms held. It was also celebrated as Formal Day.

Jan 2016:

  1. Republic Day was celebrated with great pomp and show. All the students of V.E.S. from K.G. to P.G. participated in various events. The Chief Guest for the event was honoured by DCP of Mumbai Mr. Sangram Singh and ENT Surgeon Dr. Juvekar.

March 2016:  On 1st March, students would be taken to BARC for National Science Day 2016.
