VES Tulsi Technical Institute had organized a Vocational Apprenticeship Training awareness and Career guidance work shop for HSC aspirants. This workshop was held on 7th March 2006 in collaboration with Board of Apprenticeship Training (Western Region).
The inauguration function was graced by Mr. G.R.Shekhapure [Director of Directorate of Vocational education], Mr.J.N.Jumle [Director BOAT Western region] were present along with the management and trustees of VES. Three eminent speakers covered different aspects that support vocational education.
- Role of Financial Institution in Vocational Education and Training by Mr. M.B. Shetty, Retd. AGM, SBI .
- How to prepare for an interview by Mr. Naganand A., Placement & Training Officer, VESIT.
- Importance of apprenticeship by Mr.V.V.Deshmukh, Asst. Director, BOAT[Western Region].
Career Development Through Apprenticeship Scheme 2012-13
As a part of Golden Jubilee Celebrations of VES Education society, Tulsi Technical Institute had organized Vocational Apprenticeship Training awareness and Career Guidance workshop for the students of HSC Vocational stream and SSC students on 5th Nov 2012.
This workshop was held in collaboration with the Board of Apprenticeship Training (Western Region)Mumbai at our Swami Vivekanand Junior College Auditorium.
The inaugural function was graced by Mr. Khatavkar (District Vocational Education and Training Officer, Mumbai Suburbs), Mr. Vikram Deshmukh, Asst. Director and Central Apprenticeship advisor, BOAT (Western Region), Ministry of HRD, Government of India. Mr. V.V.Deshmukh spoke about Vocational apprenticeship training and its various aspects for vocational students through a power-point presentation. He also explained in detail various schemes available for vocational apprentice.
Mr. Khatavkar explained the importance of vocational education in developing competent students for today’s globalised economy.
Mr. Pramod S Kulkarni, Deputy Chief Manager, Janakalyan Sahakari Bank-Dadar Branch, was the resource personnel for the topic “Opportunities in Banking & Commerce sector for the vocational students”. The students were briefed about the opportunities available to them and the competencies expected from them.
Mr. Naganand (Professor cum placement officer, VES Institute of Technology) enlightened SSC students about various career opportunities available for vocational students. The programme was an eye opener for the vocational students as they realized that vocational education is the need of the hour in the present economic scenario.
