The investiture ceremony of Vivekanand English High School, for the academic year 2016-17 was held recently in the school assembly hall. IMG-20160811-WA0038The ceremony started by lighting the lamp which signifies removal of darkness and the continuous upward movement of the flame denotes the path of wisdom and divinity. It was followed with the prayer and a song by the school choir.


Vivekanand English High School, was privileged to have Dr. Prakash.Lulla, member of school trust, Mrs. Shashikala.Attarde, Principal of Swami Vivekanand Vidyalaya/Kanishta Mahavidyalaya, Mrs. Balbir.Kaur, Incharge of Vivekanand English Primary School, Mrs. Neelam Kanojiya, Principal of Vivekanand English Primary School, Mrs. Neelam.Sharma, Principal of Swami Vivekanand Semi-English Primary School. P.T.A members and the parents of student council also attended the ceremony.


Master. Shivam Mishra was bestowed as the Head Boy and Miss.Vaishnavi Karad was bestowed as the Head Girl.The house captains, the sports captains, the discipline captains and all the prefects were the other members of the student council. Student council were given sash and badges by all our dignitaries. The Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Asha Binukumar administered the oath to the student council.


IMG-20160811-WA0035Dr. Lulla, the honourable guest congratulated the elected student council and gave an inspiring speech on the importance of pursuing what one is capable of rather than doing a bit of everything. He emphasized on the values of having a fulfilling experience in school are irreversible. The Principal, Dr. (Mrs) Asha.Binukumar, congratulated the newly elected student council and stress on the significance of setting priorities and the need to be great communicators. She reminded them they are the torch bearers of all the values that the school stands for and urged them to take up the responsibility with commitment and integrity.


The ceremony concluded with the national anthem. It was a memorial day for Vivekanand English High School.
