‘Raaga’ as the name denotes is BMM students cultural programme that highlights the students tastes for Indian culture and tradition in the form of songs, dance and poems.
Raaga started in 2003 and has been successfully conducted since then. The Mass Media students enlighten the audience through classical songs and traditional Indian dances that portray the culture of our country. ‘Raaga’ is a very unique function that celebrates India and students dress up traditionally to add ethnically to the entire function.
The funds collected through Raaga are donated for the welfare of socially backward, helpless and also for the cause of animals.
Raaga is a theme based annual cultural festival of the BMM department.
Raaga gives its students the opportunity to polish their skills in different fields like dancing, singing, theater & drama, creatives, photography and filming, etc.
The students themselves decorate the auditorium to create an ambience matching up with the theme. The theme of the academic year 2016-17 was ‘Raaga – Gaurav Maybhoomicha’.
The students depicted the emotions like love, courage, sorrow, etc. with their performances. The chief guest for the event was Mrs. Vrunda Moghe Dev.
Raaga turned out to be the first cultural encounter which taught the students of the BMM department to work as a team.

Impressions is an annual inter-collegiate festival organized by the Bachelor of Mass Media department of V.E.S. College of Arts, Science and Commerce in association with Rotaract Club of VES College. Different events are organized on all the 3 days which help the students to showcase their skills in Photography, Anchoring, Dance, Movies etc. It is the longest running Media Festival and this year the Theme was ‘Reel Vs Real’.

Theme of the seminar Life: The Way Forward
The chief guest of RYLA 2017 was Ex-CMD & the Past President of Rotary Club – Uday Shankar Jha.
The students were highly benefited by the speakers’ inputs in terms of knowledge and experience. This Event was organized by Rtn. Braj Raj Singh and Rtn. Dr. Shikha Dutta.
