“The First step towards a Change is Awareness, the Second step is Acceptance.”

-Nathaniel Branden

Believing in the above thought and also being aware of “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” launched by our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, we the Chemistry Association of VES College of Arts, Science and Commerce along with “The Social Youth” had presented a street play “Wake Up India” with the motive of creating social awareness.

Our latest and most-exciting addition to the conventional topics was “Fight against Eve-Teasing” which featured over-whelming dialogues and great acting.

The above mentioned street play was performed in stilt area on the 5th of July 2016 between 11:00am and 11:30 am.

The following people displayed their acting histronics in this Play:

  • Jaidev Makhijani
  • Swati Shekar
  • Krishi Solanki
  • Shruthi Narayan
  • Paresh Mhatre
  • Gaurav Khatri
  • Jyoti Tanwar
  • Soni Verma
  • Disha Rajusth
  • Arnab Gupta

The response was phenomenal with everyone crowding the corridors to watch the ongoing drama attentively. All the important dialogues were followed by loud rounds of applause and cheering was done. Every one showed interest and it was encouraging for the group to act with even more enthusiasm. The onlookers were left with the important messages of conserving water, spreading cleanliness and protecting the women of our nation.

Department of Chemistry had taken the initiative to incorporate this play and we were more than delighted to feature these young people who would lead tomorrow’s India. It is our wish that they emerge as successful in every endeavor of theirs and achieves all they desire.
