Permanently affiliated to University of Mumbai, the college is also recognized by the UGC under Sections 2(f) and 12(b). The institution holds minority status for the Sindhi linguistic minority and has consistently upheld its commitment to inclusive, value-based, and quality higher education.<\/p><p>The college was re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council in its third cycle with an \u2018A\u2019 Grade (CGPA 3.26) in August 2017. Adding another significant milestone to its journey of academic excellence, the institution was conferred Autonomous Status by the UGC and the University of Mumbai from the Academic Year 2021\u20132022. While the college enjoys academic autonomy in curriculum design, pedagogy, and evaluation, the degree continues to be awarded by the University of Mumbai.<\/p><p>The institution has received several prestigious recognitions and grants over the years. It was honoured with the \u2018Best College Award\u2019 (Urban Area) by the University of Mumbai for the academic year 2012\u20132013. The college also received grants under the DST-FIST Scheme and the DBT Star College Scheme during 2015\u20132016, strengthening its scientific infrastructure and research ecosystem.
