Infrastructure Facilities<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The college provides the following infrastructure for the students.<\/p>

Campus<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

The College is spread across 4.03 acres of land in the heart of Chembur. It has 2 buildings viz. Main building, which houses a Principal\u2019s office and Administrative office, Auditorium, AV room, Central Instrumentation Facility, Computer labs, Arts, Science and Commerce departments, Classrooms, Staffroom etc. The Annexure building has few Classrooms, Canteen facility and Gymkhana for indoor games. The sports ground adjacent to the college building is used for outdoor activities. The campus has sufficient leisure space for students. Surveillance Cameras are installed in the campus for security and safety of the students and staff.<\/p>

Teaching Learning Facilities<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Classrooms<\/strong>: The classrooms are quite spacious, well light and ventilated. All the classrooms are equipped with mike, LCD projector & have provision for the Internet connection.<\/p>

\"\" \"\"<\/p>

Laboratories<\/strong>: The college has separate laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Microbiology, Mathematics, Psychology, Biotechnology, Computer Science and Information Technology. All the laboratories are adequately equipped as per the University norms.<\/p>

The Department of Physics has 2 main laboratories, 1 dark room and a research laboratory.<\/p>

The Chemistry department has two laboratories for undergraduate students. Besides this, there is a separate laboratory for Physical Chemistry, three Post-graduate laboratories and a Instrumentation room.<\/p>

The Department of Microbiology has one main undergraduate laboratory, two post-graduate laboratories, a research laboratory, and an Instrumentation room.<\/p>

The Bio-technology department has an undergraduate laboratory and a Tissue Culture laboratory.<\/p>

The Psychology department has a one spacious laboratory with relevant equipment and test materials.<\/p>

The Information Technology department has two computer laboratories. Whereas, the Computer Science department has one computer laboratory<\/p>

All the computers in these laboratories are equipped with the latest hardware and software systems which are updated regularly to cater to the current demands.<\/p>

The Department of Mathematics has one Laboratory equipped with computer and necessary software for conduct of Mathematics practicals.<\/p>

The BMM department has a Media Lab and a Language Lab. These Labs are equipped with computers having suitable software.<\/p>

\"\" \"\" \"\"<\/p>

Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF)<\/strong>\u00a0: This facility was established in the year 2016-17. The high end Research Instruments were procured from the funding received from Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India under FIST Scheme. CIF has the following research equipment viz. HPLC modular system with PDA detector, FTIR with Diamond ATR, Gas chromatography system, Sonicaotor and UV-Vis spectrophotometer.<\/p>

\"\" \"\" \"\" \"\"<\/p>

Library\u00a0<\/strong>: The Library is situated on the fourth floor with a seating capacity for 200 students. The College Library is the hub of learning with a rich collection of books, e-books, standard reference sources and other audio-visual material like video cassettes and CD ROM\u2019s. The library subscribes to national and International journals. The College Library is fully automated with Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) of Library holdings and is Wi-fi enabled and is under 24 hours electronic surveillance.\u00a0Click here for Library website\u00a0<\/a><\/p>

E-Resource Centre<\/strong>: It is a part of Library on the 4th Floor. It has 10 Computers for Internet access for students and staff for their academic work with printer facility.<\/p>

Audio-visual Aids<\/strong>: In order to make the teaching-learning process more innovative, scientific and students\u2019 centred, the college has procured several Audio-Visual aids such as over-head projectors and LCD Projectors, 3D Models and Maps and charts.<\/p>

Raspberry Pi\u00a0<\/strong>: The college has provided Raspberry Pi Kits to some departments which is like a mini-computer and it can be used to take LCD based lectures.<\/p>

Wi-Fi\u00a0<\/strong>: The college campus is Wi-Fi enabled.<\/p>

Audio Visual facility for Co-curricular and Extra-curricular activities<\/h4>

Auditorium\u00a0<\/strong>: College has a fully air conditioned, ICT enabled auditorium with 180 seating capacity. The various programs like seminars, talks by eminent scholars, etc., are arranged in the Auditorium<\/p>

Audio Visual Room<\/strong> : \u2013 An air conditioned ICT enabled Hall with a seating capacity of around 100 is used for conduct of Seminars and talks of eminent Scholars and other programs.<\/p>

Common Facilities<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

The college provides certain common facilities to its staff and students. These includes:<\/p>

Hostel<\/strong>: Separate hostel facilities are provided for Boys and Girls at the VES Hostel, Hashu Advani Memorial Complex, Chembur. The hostel facility is common for students of all VES Institutions. It has adequate security and good discipline.<\/p>

Canteen<\/strong>: College has canteen facility for students and staff. Variety of foodstuffs are served throughout the day.<\/p>

Girl\u2019s Common Room<\/strong>: There is a separate room for Girls Students on 1st floor.<\/p>

Ground<\/strong>: The college has a multi-purpose ground used for various outdoor sporting activities.<\/p>

Gymkhana \/ Indoor Game zone<\/strong>: The college has a separate room for indoor games like table tennis, carrom and chess.<\/p>

\"\"<\/p>

Staff Gymnasium<\/strong>: This Gymkhana is equipped with Treadmill and Walker and other basic fitness equipment.<\/p>

Green Campus Initiatives<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Solar Panel\u00a0<\/strong>: Institute has installed a grid connect Solar PV of 21.6 kW for harnessing solar energy.<\/p>

Composting Pit\u00a0<\/strong>: The College has a facility for compositing of garden waste and canteen kitchen waste.<\/p>

Rainwater recharge point\u00a0<\/strong>: College also has rain water recharge point which helps to increase the overall ground water level.<\/p>
