About the Committee<\/b><\/h5>

To sensitize the students and staff towards environmental consciousness, committee work with the motto \u201cSave the nature to save the future, make safer environment for better tomorrow\u201d and to contribute in this direction institute has taken many steps in past like implementation of grid connect Solar Power, Zero waste campus, Collaboration with NGOs for Awareness, etc<\/span><\/p>

Objectives of the Committee:<\/span><\/p>

The main objectives of the committee\u00a0 are<\/span><\/p>

  1. To create environmental awareness\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
  2. To value environmental conservation\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
  3. To understand the environmental, health and social \u00a0 effects of global warming and inculcate environmental discipline amongst students.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ol>
    List of Activities:<\/b><\/h5>

    As a part of our environmental awareness programme, so far\u00a0 go green committee has conducted various activities such as\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

    1. Workshops on\u00a0 Waste Management,Kitchen Waste Composting, Paper and cloth bag making etc<\/span><\/li>
    2. Collection of e-waste drive and its submission for recycling .<\/span><\/li>
    3. Collection of plastic waste, tetrapacks,<\/span> used batteries<\/span> and its submission for recycling etc.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
    4. Different talks were arranged by eminent speakers to spread awareness about Waste management, Energy management, energy conservation, cleaning and conservation of the coastal beaches and Mangroves etc.<\/span><\/li>
    5. Conducted various competitions on poster making,slogan writing ,Essay writing etc.on the topics related to environment.<\/span><\/li>
    6. Observed Various days such as World Water Day, World Nature Day ,National Pollution control Day etc \u00a0 by conducting environmental related activities.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

      As a recognition of various green initiatives of the college, our college received third rank in the Green Camus Award Competition conducted by Senergy Consultants, Pvt. Ltd- Energy Conservation and Sustainability Consultants, Mumbai<\/b><\/p>
