Smart India Hackathon (SIH2019) March 2 & 3, 2019
After two marvellous editions of Smart India Hackathon, SIH2019 has reached newer heights by ‘inviting problem statements from private sector organizations’ to challenge our students to offer high-calls yet cost-effective innovative solutions. These problem statements are divided into three categories namely i) Simple ii) Complex iii) Complicated. 503 problem statements have already been published on sih.gov.in for students to submit their ideas. The final date for submission of idea is 20th Jan 2019. SIH 2019 gives a chance for students to solve problems of central ministries/top industries and win exciting cash prizes worth up to 2.5 crore along with an opportunity to get mentorship from top industry leaders.
As an IIC, you are requested to participate in SIH 2019 with at least 15 teams (6 members per team) from your institute. SIH 2019 is part of IIC activity calendar scheduled on 2nd & 3rd March 2019. Participating in this event will earn one “Golden Star” to your IIC certificate.
Also, you have to nominate “Faculty coordinator” of IIC as SPOC (Single point of Contact) for Smart India Hackathon 2019 (If you have already nominated SPOC for SIH 2019, you can ignore this).
