About VESCOA

The VES College of Architecture is focused towards developing socio-cultural, environmental, technological, aesthetic & philosophical values in Architectural education. Creating a favourable environment for learning, innovation, integration & leadership has been the key focus of the institute.

VES believes in leading by example, transforming our campus into 100% rooftop solar-powered, and instilling sustainable design principles in our students.

Vivekanand Education Society (VES) has taken a bold step towards sustainability by announcing its initiative to transform the campus into a 100% rooftop solar-power generation and adopt several sustainable practices towards a Green Campus. This move sets a new benchmark for educational institutions nationwide.

By adopting state-of-the-art solar technology, VES aims to reduce its reliance on conventional energy sources, leading to significant cost savings and a substantial decrease in greenhouse gas emissions. As part of the Green Campus initiative, VES is also implementing energy-efficient lighting, rainwater harvesting systems, and water-efficient fixtures, and eliminating single-use plastics.

Additionally, VES College of Architecture (VESCOA) has drafted a manual to educate students about sustainable living and how small changes in their daily routines can positively impact the environment.

“At VES, we believe in leading by example. We are taking a significant step towards a sustainable future by transforming our campus into a 100% rooftop solar powered. Our solar initiative will provide invaluable educational opportunities for our students to witness the practical implementation of sustainable design principles. We aim to instill in our students the importance of incorporating eco-friendly practices and empower them to impact the Earth positively.” said Dr. Anand Achari, Principal of VESCOA.

With a strong emphasis on energy efficiency and eco-friendly practices, VESCOA plans to get campus 2, HAMC, Collectors colony as GREEN CAMPUS CERTIFIED.
