“Campus Placement Drive” at Vivekanand Education Society College of Architecture

 

Mumbai, XX June 2023

Vivekananda Education Society’s College of Architecture recently organized a “Campus Placement Drive”. The final-year Architecture students and 2nd year Interior Design students, who aspire to secure positions as beginner Architects/Interior Design interns in the professional world, actively participated. As an institute, VESCOA believes that this opportunity will provide students with a strong foundation for their careers and enable them to contribute meaningfully to the field.

The Placement Cell at VESCOA plays an important role as a platform for students to showcase their talents while offering companies an opportunity to explore and connect with potential candidates. The Placement Cell ensures smooth and efficient placement processes under the leadership of Dr. Prof. Anand Achari, Principal of VESCOA.

VESCOA placement cell invited eminent Architectural Firms, Interiors Designers, Furniture Manufacturers, and Interior Contracting Companies to participate in the Campus Placement drive. The Google preference form for the selection of the firms/ companies was circulated to the students, they would like to be interviewed. As per their preferences, they attended the interviews and companies shortlisted the candidates for the 2nd round of the Interview to receive the final offer letter. 100% of placements are committed through the process of placement cell. The interview process includes Personal Interviews, debates & discussions providing a comprehensive evaluation of candidates.

On Saturday, June 3rd, 2023, 15 eminent firms visited the campus for the placement of 45 students. The firms that visited include Ar. Hiten Sethi & Associates, Team One Architects, Edifice Consultants Pvt. Ltd, Ar. Sandeep Shikre & Associates, Anil Nagrath & Associates, Abhikalpan Architects and Planners, The Firm Architects, Imprints Architects, Fold Design Studio, and Architect Rahul Shrikhande & Associate, Narsi Group, Poonam Sadu Interior Spaces, Rashi Clever Interior Designs, Kanika Bawa Design, and Studio Purple participated. These firms recruited students for full-time positions and internships. Other than these firms the college also collaborated with its professional partners for the 100% placement of students through VESCOA. 

VESCOA students showed great enthusiasm & cooperation during the process, companies appreciated students are very cultured and well-disciplined. They also remarked that the event was very well managed by the institution, and faculty members, and special regard was given to the principal, Dr. Prof. Anand Achari to inculcate such high values in the students, who fall apart from other architecture students. The college anticipates inviting even more firms next year. The college sincerely looks forward to welcoming esteemed firms and facilitating fruitful interactions between VESCOA’s students and industry professionals. The Institute is also looking forward to signing an MoU with Industry Professionals to have a continual bond between them.

VESCOA’s objective is to instill in students a sense of responsibility toward building a sustainable human habitat and achieving excellence in education. In line with the college’s commitment to fostering student growth, the college consistently encourages students to attend relevant seminars, and workshops, and participate in international and national competitions. Vivekanand Education Society College of Architecture (VESCOA) claims to have achieved a 100% placement for its inaugural batch of Architecture students in the academic year 2022-23 (enrolled in 2018-19). The college orchestrated a campus placement drive for its graduating Architecture students. The placement initiative garnered participation from over 20 distinguished firms including Team One Architects, The Firm Architects, Imprints Architects, Fold Design Studio among others, according to an official release.
