Vivekanand Education society’s polytechnic is a premier institution in Mumbai region where academics is prime concern. VES polytechnic is affiliated to Maharashtra state board of technical education (MSBTE) which is a state government organisation for governing the academic performance of the polytechnics in Maharashtra.
VES Polytechnic has internal curriculum implementation unit (ICIU) which ensures the implementation of curriculum as per the norms laid down by the MSBTE. An academic calendar is prepared and implemented every year in line with the MSBTEs academic calendar. The institute has received an excellent remark in external academic monitoring carried out by MSBTE.
In VES polytechnic optimum use of facultys knowledge, skills and experience is used to create more and more student centric atmosphere for learning, and as academic coordinator I promise to ensure a better environment for academic development of students and faculties.
About NSS
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public
service program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the
Government of India. The sole aim of the NSS is to provide hands-on experience
to young students in delivering community service.
The main objectives of National Service Scheme (NSS) are:
● Understand the community in which they work
● Understand them in relation to their community
● Identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in
problem-solving
● Develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility
● Utilize their knowledge in finding practical solutions to individual and
community problems
● Develop competence required for group-living and sharing of
responsibilities
● Gain skills in mobilizing community participation
● Acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitudes
● Develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters and
● Practice national integration and social harmony

About Training and Placement cell:
Training and Placement Cell is an integral part of the institute. The TPO office serves to bridge the gap between a job aspirant and a prospective employer. However it prepares and helps students to plan their careers by providing them information about the industries. The institute has provided complete infrastructure for the effective functioning of the cell. The Cell has a focused approach to prepare students from the first year to final year on the various activities are – communication skills, Personality development, technical training, Group discussion etc.
The placement officer maintains a consistent communication with the leading companies for placement of the students. The TPO office keeps close liaison with the various industrial establishments (both private and public sectors), which conduct campus interviews and select our diploma passouts from all disciplines. The placement cell provides the infra structural facilities to conduct group discussion, tests and interviews. The collage is actively organizing in-campus and out-campus interviews for the students. Job offers, dates of interviews, selection procedures, results of interviews are displayed on the TPO office notice board.
As a part of Industry institute interaction, students are exposed to the actual work environment of industry through summer internship. TPO office helps students to get minimum six weeks summer internship training in reputed industries. The TPO office ensures and takes care to provide the best arrangement and hospitality for the visiting company’s officials.
