Taekwondo

The VES Sports Academy Taekwondo Program is designed for children aged 5 years and above, offering a structured pathway from beginner to advanced levels. As an Olympic sport, Taekwondo helps students develop fitness, discipline, confidence, focus, and self-defence skills while promoting overall physical and mental well-being.

Students progress through a recognized belt grading system, advancing from White Belt to Black Belt through regular belt examinations. Training begins with fundamental techniques and gradually progresses to advanced skills and competition-specific drills. Students are also encouraged to participate in local tournaments, DSO competitions, District Championships, Taekwondo Association events, State Championships, and National-level competitions.

Taekwondo is especially beneficial for girls, helping build self-confidence, self-discipline, and practical self-defence skills. The sport also provides opportunities to compete in School Games and University Games, with the potential to earn grace marks and recognition through sporting achievements.
