SALIENT FEATURES OF THE DEPARTMENT: 

  1.  The Department conducts an Intra-Collegiate Festival, “INNOVISION” consisting of events like Ad Showmanship, Speechcraft, Finance ka Sikandar and Treasure Hunt on themes and topics related to subjects of Commerce and Management. This event develops students’ creative skills, organisation skills, technical skills and communication skills. 
  2. The Department regularly conducts Expert and Guidance sessions in various areas related to Business and Commerce. 
  3. Visits to various Business Organisations like BSE, SEBI etc and Industries are organised to give practical insights to the students.
  4. Department encourages students to participate in Avishkar Research Convention organised by University of Mumbai and at Conferences and Competitions organised by various colleges.
  5. Caters to diverse career options due to combination of subjects.
  6. Conducts Remedial Lectures for Slow Learners to improve their academic performance.
  7. Offering Post Graduate Courses – M. Com in Accountancy and M.Com in Management gives students more career opportunities in the field of Commerce..
  8. Members of the Department contribute immensely to the administration work of the college through different Committees viz. IQAC, Examination, Infrastructure, Time Table, Discipline, Career Guidance and Placement, DLLE, Cultural etc
