ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT  

 Computer Science is the study of computers and computational systems.

The Principal areas of study within this course include Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Blockchain Technology, Cloud Computing,Game programming,Ethical Hacking, Operating systems, Database systems, Programming,Software engineering, Networks & security

The course is designed to promote employability after successful completion .

Students may further go on to pursue post graduation and contribute in the field of research.

In addition to Computer Science subjects, we also focus on Mathematics, Statistics and related subjects which provide the foundation for establishing careers in AI,Data Science and Analytics roles.

  1. Established in 1999.
  2. Well-Equipped Laboratory with internet connectivity.
  3. Recipient of Star College Grant (DBT).
  4. Has a good placement record and conducts Joint Campus Recruitment Programs by companies like Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, HCL, TCS, Wipro etc for students of computer science, IT, Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biotechtech & Microbiology of various colleges.
  5. Has a strong & active alumni network, who visit & provide guidance on career aspects, soft skills and Technology.
  6. We have produced four University Rank holders from 1999 to 2012 at TYBSc Comp Sci.
  7. Our students have won Performance awards in companies where they are placed.
  8. Projects completed by students are utilized in the administration of the college :- Library Website of College.
  9. Our students have become entrepreneurs and provided employment for On-Job Training to final year students.
  10. We have organised a One-Day National Conference on ‘Transforming Classrooms- The Role of AI in Education and Personalised Learning’ and published an ISBN Book of the Conference Proceedings (978-93-5426-858-8).
  11. Our Department conducts the Internal Hackathon every year as a precursor to the Smart India Hackathon organised by the Ministry of Education under GOI.
  12. Provides Guidance for Post Graduate Courses like MCA, NCST, DAC & certification courses like RHCE, Oracle Certifications and Java Certifications.
