The Artificial Intelligence (AI) program at VIVEKANAND EDUCATION SOCIETY’S AUTONOMOUS COLLEGE introduced in AY (2023-24)is meticulously designed to align with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, ensuring a future-ready curriculum that meets global industry standards. With the rapid advancements in AI, this course empowers students to master cutting-edge technologies while fostering innovation, problem-solving, and ethical AI development.

 Internship

Over the course of the academic year, more than 20 students from the Department of Artificial Intelligence have successfully secured prestigious internship opportunities with reputed organizations and research institutions. These internships have not only provided them with invaluable hands-on experience but have also allowed them to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges, significantly boosting their technical proficiency and industry readiness. Through these immersive learning experiences, students have gained deeper insights into cutting-edge technologies, enhanced their problem-solving abilities, and built strong professional networks, setting a solid foundation for their future careers in AI and related fields. Presently in few students are on paid internships ,many engaged in hackathons organised by various organizations.

 Research:

Right from 1st year students are trained for presenting technical skill through technical writing ,students are continuously motivated to present paper in various conference and  journals and six students participated in National level paper presentation in AY (2024-25).

 PM Usha Activities

The Department of Artificial Intelligence has conducted a workshop under the PM-USHA initiative to enhance student learning and development.

Under PM Usha Workshop like AI in Drone Technology, How To Write and Present Technical Paper has been Successfully conducted.

Industrial Visit

The Department of AI Has Conducted Many Industrial Visits to Different Reputed Organization in Recent Year which helped the students to gain Information about about Emerging Technologies.

During Academic Year 2024-25, Students of AI Department Visited Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) Pune. The visit also encompassed an exploration of C-DAC’s software development initiatives. The center has developed a wide array of software products and solutions catering to diverse sectors, including healthcare, education, and defense. We learned about the critical role of these software solutions in enhancing efficiency, improving service delivery, and driving innovation across various domains.

During the visit in pune, we also Visited Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum, a tribute to the life and legacy of this eminent social reformer and architect of the Indian Constitution. The museum offers a comprehensive and insightful journey through Dr. Ambedkar’s life, from his humble beginnings to his remarkable achievements.

The Department of Artificial Intelligence(AI) organized an industrial visit on NAB-IDBI

POLYTECHNIC, a skill development institution for the visually challenged. The aim was to

provide students with insights regarding interaction, working methods, employment practices

and internal working of NAB-IDBI POLYTECHNIC towards Prevention and Cure of Preventive

& Curable blindness and for the education and upliftment of blind. 

The Department also organized several industrial visits, including trips to the BEST Museum, electronics factories, food processing units, and agro-tourism sites. These visits provided students with valuable insights into various industries and helped them understand the diverse applications of Artificial Intelligence across different sectors.
